No Comment..Cease Fire!

Cease Fire! Cease Fire!

Message over at ErosDen to say "Bitches hold your fire".

He also has a link to follow the discussion as MJ and Leni jump through the required hoops to have their comments restored... Check it out at Eros's place

And thanks to all the blogging community that started threads at blogger help or made comments...in relation to this issue... finally blogger are listening.

My blog is still missing past comments from MJ of Infomaniac and Leni Qinan of Dangerous Writer

The comments were left on my blog as parts of ongoing conversations with fellow blogger friends and followers and I am baffled by "Bloggers" inabilty to respond or even acknowledge that these comments have been deleted from every blog that MJ and Leni have ever visited.

As part of the Blogging community and a fellow traveller with both MJ and Leni I cannot standby and let this happen without attempting to get a response or explanation or even an apology from Blogger.

Not only have the comments been deleted but continued comments left on my blog by Leni and MJ disappear within 24hrs of being posted. Along with their original Blogger Avitar.

I see this as gross censorship of free speech by Blogger. A claim that it makes it is not in the business of doing.

If this can happen to 2 bloggers that I know of it can surely happen to any of us in the Blogging world

I ask you to visit Eros Den , read the background history and learn how you can participate in bringing our concerns to Blogger in the hope of having all the missing comments restored to our blogs.

If enough of us join in then Blogger may well take notice and start to give us some clear responses, explanations, resolve the problem by restoring the comments and ceasing the ongoing erasure of new comments and who knows...maybe even an apology.

Imagine if you will... being in a situation whereby one day your comments just disappear from existence.
From every one you have ever visited and left comments with, funny, inspiring, thoughtful, heartfelt, encouraging challenging, sincere and supportive.

Gone... Overnight as if you never were.

Years of Funny banter, conversation, information, correspondence, assistance, ideas and advice gone....dissolved into the ether of cyberspace, without the slightest warning. Ripping away the very heart of your blogging experience, that is, communication and friendships developed over years with people from all over the world. Shared ideas and making connections with like minded travellers in the blogging world. Participating an a warm and generous online community. All this just stopping overnight. With apparently no recourse with Blogger and the Google team.

I know that I feel angry, and as none of us can make the assumption that "it won't happen to me" I implore you to join with us in the quest for some answers.

Our aim in participating in a Surge on Blogger is to have all the deleted comments restored and for ongoing new comments to remain and not disappear within 24 hrs.

Follow the very clear instructions at Eros Den and let's see what

"We the little people" can do when we join together!

Thank you for your time and participation.

Celebrations at the Palais....

Hello Dhaaarlings...

The Empress is celebrating...

It has been a difficult last 12 months but we have survived...
The Empress has made a full recovery from her Second hip replacement

She would like to thank you all for your well wishes and enquiries after her health and recovery progress.

It has been truly appreciated...

And in recognition of your thoughtfulness...
"The Palais" doors are open to one and all to help celebrate
The Empresses 70th Birthday.

Wasn't she a beautiful Baby?

There will be Cake...

And Candles...

The fire brigade are on standby...

Have you met our local firemen Ready, Willing and Able?

Princess has often found the Empress in the Palais grounds getting up to mischief with a box of matches, I think in the hope that "Those nice boys" will call again, and after my housewarming I am not surprised with this sort of behaviour...

And of course there will be champagne...

So Dhaaarlings

Come on over and help the Empress celebrate 70 marvelous years...

Now Showing at "The Palais"

For June is temporarily being hosted on Boxers behalf by
This Weeks Theme for June 16th MCW is...

Favourite TV Show put on The Big Screen.
Again a challenge... as initially I could'nt think of a show...
Which is probably an indication of just how little TV I tend to watch. So not giving up I harkend back again to my child hood and thought about the first TV show that I could recall being put up in the big screen and I recalled seeing this Movie at of all places "The Drive In"
Dad would make up a bed in the backseat of the car....no such thing as seatbelts or safetey seats in those days...
Gosh... From as soon as I could sit up, got hung in a car chair hooked over the front bench seat between Mum and Dad when we went for a Sunday Drive...
My younger brother... still sleeping... swaddled in his bassinette on the back seat... which I might add used to be mine (2 yearolds have trouble adjusting to new additions)
Remember those days?
But I digress... what was I talking about?
Oh... thats right the movie...
While Mum would ensure that we kids were all bathed and in our pyjamas so that when we arrived home asleep we could just be carried to out beds without the drama of being woken to do so....
After having seen the program in black and white on the small screen in the corner of the lounge at home, I couldn't believe my eyes when Fred and Barney appeared so huge on the big screen and "were coloured in!" to boot.
Talk about marveling with excitement!!!
So this week I present for your enjoyment....
a walk down my memory lane...

Happy MCW...

I'm Princess and I'm an Infomaniac Bitch....
Sorry about the clip length it was the shortest I could find.

Monday, June 14, 2010

In answer to your questions Mr XL....

I am Princess and I'm an Infomaniac... Bitch!

Prior to recent events  I had prepared the following responsed to questions posted on Xl's Blog some time ago. I have added a few more of my own posers at the bottom of the page...

1. Coke or Pepsi?

I originally drank Coke for years then got tired of it and swiched to pepsi then as an individual stand against  Global Branding and duopolies now dont drink either and I dont miss either either. Vodka works much better.

2. Do you play a musical instrument?
Not for a long time but i did play acoustic/folk guitar and played the clarinet. I still have a clarinet and occasionally get it out and have a blow...

3. If you could go back in time, would you make a different decision in your life?

I think the only decision that I would conscider in order to make things a little different would be to tell the people in my life that are nolonger that I loved them more often... Life is too short and we never know when someone that we love and sometimes take for granted are not in our lives any more... and once they are gone there is no way to tell them how much they were loved.. i often console myself by saying that they knew how much I loved them... but did they really know this... did I acknowledge just how much their presence meant to me while they were around and did I affirm these feelings by saying out aloud "I Love You"
I've taken the time to tell my family and friends openly just how much they mean to me and am able to let them know just how much they are loved. Otherwise  I hold no regrets and would'nt change a thing.

4. Which sport do you consider to be "football?"

Aussie Rules of course! But I will admit that "The World Game" does cross all borders even if I still refer to it as Soccer.. (Hey our National team is called the "Socceroos") despite my dour scot of a great grandfther giving me a clip over the ears when I did so. The Female National team "The Matildas" Just won the Asian cup and are off to the womens world cup too.

5. Do you like to travel?

I love to travel. I have been all around Australia, Visiting all states and territories and living for a while in several of them, mostly Victoria, Northern Queensland and Western Australia. I have had one major trip Overseas to China. It was mostly holiday and touring but for one week stayed at the Bejing Institute of Sport studying TaiChi with a couple of the Masters. A fantastic experience and one that I will never forget.
I haven't aspired to travel overseas since then but plan to one day.

6. Do you like Piña Coladas and getting caught in the rain?

Pina Colladas? Honestly I have never had one, but I love getting caught in the rain. Even when it is cold.
I'm not much into health food, but I have half a brain, I've never made love at midnight in the dunes by the cape, but hey... I'm willing to give it a try, though I did get lucky one time at around midnight while skinny dipping in the hotsprings at Mataranka. My bathers floated away never to be seen again and I had to walk back to the campground  in the nude... that was fun.

7. Surely you like cats, right?

To be honest I get an allergic reaction to Cat Saliva. However I do like other peoples cats, just so long a pussy doesn't lick me. And It's not like I'd be licking any pussy... I did try it once or twice but I'm cured now.

8. Beatles or Stones?

I tend to spray unwanted beetles but do try to encourage helpful lady bugs and I decorate with stones... they make wonderful paths and look great when large ones are arranged as a feature/focal point in the garden... Oh.. you mean the musical types....

Sorry but It has to be the beatles, given that I have played and sung so many of there songs over the years.
I was never really into the Stones although I do like some of their tunes, I'm a bit eclectic with music as clarinet was mainly clasically focussed when I had lessons and guitar was more folk oriented. Then I discovered the joys of Jazz and I was hooked on the old standards.

9. Which foreign languages can you speak (regardless of fluency)?

None apart from odd words or greetings in French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek and Italian and German but don't try to get me to spell any of them here..

10. What special meal would you prepare for me?

I'd prepare any meal that your heart desired. I love cooking and will give anything a bash (Then cook it for you) No... I mean it name something and i'll have a go at making it for you.

6 Extra Questions... One easy answer.

1. Which Blogging platform removes it's user's blogs without notice?

2. Which Blogging platform removes my followers avitar from my blog and their comments from my comment form without prior notice or consultation
so that both just "magically' disappear?

3. Which Blogging platform states that they are not in the business of blatant censorship?

4. Which Blogging Platform could seriously do with an overhaul of its customer service department and help line?

5. Which Blogging Platform States in it's terms of use...

"We respect our users' ownership of and responsibility for the content they choose to share."
"It is our belief that censoring this content is contrary to a service that bases itself on freedom of expression." ?

Yeah Right....

6. Which Blogging platform is run by hypocrites?

There can only be one answer to the above Questions.

I'm Princess and I'm an Infomaniac. Bitch.

From...'Blogger' user terms of reference.

We do not allow image, video or text content that depicts or encourages incest or bestiality.
Crude Content:
Don't post content just to be shocking or graphic.
For example, collections of close-up images of gunshot wounds or accident scenes without additional context or commentary would violate this policy.

Report the user to law enforcement"

Where the hell is Leni Quinan????

Fellow Infomaniac's....

One of our newest bitches Lenni Quinan has succumbed to the same fate as Mistress MJ.

Her blog and comments have also been deleted without notice...

Perhaps this was a temporary Glitch as the link now works though this still does not explain how comments just disappeared from other blogs
Is this just coincidence or is there something more sinister going on here?...

I'm just wondering who will be next to suffer this fate at the hands of the Blogger Cyber Police.

I'm putting money on Me...

So if 'Princesses' pretty face just suddenly disappears from your comments then you will know what has happened...

Ps.. You can read Leni's own explanation as to what has happened  Here

10 Question Meme

These initial ten questions were forwarded to me as a meme tag by the lovely Ms Roses via I think the originator Dear Mago who posted them in response to the lovely Miss Scarlet’s request.

1) Do you believe in ghosts?

Isn’t that a spooky question? I was just discussing it with my dear friend 'Casper' whom assured me that there are ghosts and that he just happened to be a friendly one.
I told him that he was talking 'crapola...
“Bullshit Casper” I said, until I was rudely interrupted by the rattling of chains and things going bump in the night and objects strangely moving of their own accord.

"Well that should change your opinion" laughed Casper...
It certainly gave me food for thought..

I do believe that the energy of a person remains as a presence for some time in or around the place that meant the most to them in life or their energy attaches itself to the energy around a loved one until they move on the next part of their spirit journey.

I have often felt a presence when entering new buildings or houses. I have never been frightened as such but get more of a sense of the type of person that they were in life. Sometimes I am able to sense things about the person or “Ghost” if you like that can be confirmed by people that knew them in life, at other times I get given a picture or image of an item that I see in my minds eye or a word that keeps repeating in my head. Sometimes it is a physical sensation that I experience which means nothing to me at the time and often I dismiss it off hand.

But often there is someone that I will meet and talk to about the experience and discover that they knew of the person i'm describing or that they had pain or an injury in the area that I sensed it in, before they died. It doesn’t happen to me all the time and often I am not consciously trying to make a connection, it just seems to happen.

“Casper! For Fucks sake will you stop flying through me like that, you keep turn my innards all cold!’

2) Are you content with your life?

Well I don’t have many other options at present so I guess that yes I am generally content with my life, Though, I would like to be in better health than I am in at the moment. But that is in train. I’m over a long Battle with Major Depression. But, I finally after many years of torment and distress, have managed to finally give him his marching orders.
He was rather slow on the uptake but I am at a stage now in my life that should I choose to invite him back it will be a purely unhealthy indulgence on my part.

3) Have you ever been at or close to point blank?

Yes. There have been times in my life when going on all seemed too much. When death seemed like a better option and a quick fix to remedy the painful feelings of hopelessness, helplessness and self loathing. These feelings were often helped along by Major Depressions’ whisperings and subtle cajoling.

But, after living through my fathers suicide and Knowing the effect that his sudden and seemingly inexplicable death had on myself, his wife (my mother) and my other siblings, extended family and his friends and work mates left behind, I decided that I couldn’t do that to the people around me that loved me (even though I felt so unworthy and unlovable) and that I loved, knowing that they would be left behind dealing with overwhelming grief without explanation and the never ending search for answers.

4) Is philosophy necessary?

Well I had a tree fall in my back yard the other day and I’m pretty sure that no one heard it clapping! Well at least I didn’t anyway. I was to busy considering the number of angels that would fit on the head of a pin and exploring the meaning of life and imagining that the world existed as a speck of dirt under some huge beings fingernail. I try to practice being like the uncarved block and am always kind to cows. Does any of this count?

5) Do you live with books?

Yes I’m surrounded by books, they line my walls and I am one of those people that have great difficulty in parting with books once they find their home on my shelves. I have very eclectic tastes and often have two or three books on the go at the same time. I am not unknown to have read the same book several times over. Not straight after reading it of course but months or even some years later.

I don’t stick to any one particular genre and don't ask me who the author is as I won't be able to tell you but... I try to avoid horror, space travel, and alien invasions. But I have read all the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series, and all of Harry Potter several times over. I do enjoy a good murder mystery or conspiracy theory with spy thrillers thrown in for good measure. The occasional period romance is a light and fluffy change of pace, biographies and gay anthologies and fictional tales also find there way to my shelves.

As I said I’m an eclectic when it comes to reading mater. Oh I also have several shelves of reference books for Gardening, Patchwork, Arts and Crafts, Massage and Aromatherapy, Complimentary therapies, and Metaphysical/Spiritual Practices and theories. Oh... and a couple of shelves of now vintage childrens storybooks and almanacs. Its sad when your childhood reading is naw classed as vintage....

6) Have you ever been on stage?

The world is a stage…. And all the men and women are players upon it aren’t they?
Well, yes I have. I was always in Plays and Musicals at High school, I sang soprano as a soloist and played clarinet solos in school music festivals and competitions.

I played guitar and sang in concerts and at church functions with a folk group as a teen and later sang tenor with a choir as an adult, we were called the Mountain Minstrels.

I sang a solo “Endless Love” at my sisters wedding during the signing of the register and another couple of songs later at the reception in front of 250 people.

At parties I would get requests to sing Noel Coward and Cole Porter and at the Local Jazz club would often get dragged up to sing a few old standards…

I have also helped backstage and trained the kids’ chorus to sing for a production of “The Wizard of Oz” at my youngest brothers’ high school and helped making the costumes for a local Musical Theatre Production of “Anything Goes” and “Mozart” and costumes for a local high schools interpretive dance group.

I have emceed a retro fashion show for a local community group fund raiser. I had a Gig playing Father Christmas for several years with a professional photographer at a local shopping centre and still volunteer for a community service group each year playing Father Christmas and handing out presents to the oldies at the local hospice and then to all the kid in the district at the local town hall. Gifts for anywhere up to 200 kids.

So yes Princess has been on stage.

7) Do you regularly read a printed newspaper?

No. I find Newspapers to be very boring and usually filled with alarmist drivel and misinformation often just cut and pasted from other publications. I only purchase a newspaper to line the bottom of my budgerigar cage.

I prefer listening to talkback radio and occasionally but very rarely news on the television.

8) Are you afraid of the future?

Not for me personally but the generations that come after me I do hold fears for but also hope that the youth of the future will be more informed and able to sort the chaff from the grain.

The world is getting crazier every day and there are real basic issues that just are not being addressed. Clean water and food supplies, basic health needs, the challenge of a changing climate, relance on finite fossil fuels. “Big Business” and its insidious control and surreptitious manipulation and calling of the shots globally. Manipulation and alarmist reporting of the truth by the media and associated government spin as opposed to unbiased reporting of the news or the truth. The increasing manipulation and behind the scenes machinations if the stock market and the purported attitude that the accumulation of money is the highest defining attribute of being human frightens me. Generation of Corporate wealth, managerial bonuses and shareholder dividends are more important and take priority over social responsibility.

The expectation that to be successful one must consume, consume, and continue to consume and have the very latest gadget that is released onto the unsuspecting public. There is also a pervasive reluctance to take personal responsibility for our individual actions and the expectation for the Government of the day to take responsibility for individual lack of boundaries and personal integrity. "It’s the governments’ responsibility" to resolve every issue that arises is the cry. Well in some situations it is appropriate to legislate but, what about our own personal responsibility? But I might have to do something on a personal level like stop buying a product, adjust my attitude or change my behaviour to or actually think about an issue. Gosh i might even be able to come up with an alternative or even a solution.

But if the response to every issue is to legislate due to public pressure then we open ourselves up to external controlling elements.
And through this process we are being lead closer to becoming a "Nanny State". In my opinion socialism is on the rise, on a global scale.

9) Do you know yourself?

Do I know myself? Yes, only, too well.

10) Will you play on?

I don’t think I'll tag anyone in particular as most of you have already participated in some way shape or form but for anyone that would like to do some future probing...

Here are another 10 questions to ponder. If you do find the time to answer them i'd be more than happy to read your responses on your blog...

1) You go to a new place that you are unfamiliar with. People are there, doing something that you have always wanted to try but have never actually done.

Do you, turn around and leave, stand around the edges watching or take the opportunity and get involved with the activity? What is your reason for your response?

2) What is the first physical attribute that you notice about a person and what is it about that attribute that gets your attention when you meet them?

3) What is it that you do that makes you feel good about yourself?

4) It is your Birthday… Do you celebrate it with gusto or just let it pass quietly, without, so much as a word to anyone? And what is your reason.

5) You are an artist, what is your field and what first attracted you to it?

6) You are creating a new home you have a choice between installing fossil fuel or renewable systems as your energy source, what form do you choose and why?

7) If you could travel to any planet in the solar system other than earth which one would it be and why would you want to visit it?

8) You have discovered a skill that will benefit the future of humanity.
What is the skill and would you choose to impart your knowledge?

9) You have discovered an opportunity to make yourself very, very rich financially but at the cost of not being happy… Do you keep your secret to yourself or invite others along for the ride.

10) You recieve notice that you have been chosen out of millions to join with a group of other people to settle and ready a new planet for future human habitation... What qualities, skills or attributes do you posess that you think got you the gig... and would you go?

So there you go ... you can get on with it or not. The choice is yours Dhaaarlings...

Oh.. Look a post without gratuitous nudity....

Well Almost!

Now Showing at "The Palais"

This weeks theme for MCW hosted by Milk River Madman
while Boxer takes a well earned rest is...

"Best Sequal"

Choosing a Best Sequal is an interesting task this week as a lot of sequals just don't pass muster and could hardly be named as best after the original particularly if the original was a mega hit...
Like Speed, Miss Congeniality, Legally Blonde, 2001,
Then you have the franchise movies that seem to go on forever with a sequal following a sequal following a sequal following a sequal with a prequael thrown in for good measure...
I cite Police Academy, Lethal  Weapon, Die Hard, The Karate Kid, Shrek, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Superman, Batman etc etc... do you get my drift?

Picking the worst would not have been any easier as there are no end of options for crap sequals...
Particularly if they are made without the original cast members or are given such a crazy plot that they just don't bare any resemblence to the original storyline...
However, being a sucker for animated kids movies, (given that I have babysat 16 nephews and nieces over the years) I have gone with...

Toy Story 2

Fun wholesome entertainment that followed on from the original... and introduced new and interesting characters...

Heros and Villains with an intriguing storyline.

Oh ... and did I mention it was funny?

It also included some background to some of the new characters which gave them more purpose for being there.

All in all a great followup to a brilliant original concept

Happy MCW!

Now Showing at "The Palais"

(On Friday)
Boxer has taken a break from MCW for the month of June but...
Milk River Madman Over at Crown on the Rocks
has kindly picked up the baton for the month.

This weeks theme is

 "Best War Movie".

So at short notice I present for you..

The Dam Busters

I remember seeing it as a kid and don't really recall much of it other than being fascinated with Lancaster bombers dropping Bouncing Bombs like stones skipping over the water.
It was based on true WW2 British Air teams that had to develop a way of safely taking out well defended targets without getting shot down in the process.
In later years I had flashbacks to these scenes while watching one of the starwar movies where Luke has to aim a rocket to blow up the death star..
I thaught "Thats where they got the Idea from"...

So... I'm sorry that i'm running a little late but there you have it for this week.
