OZ Sneak Peek.......
Hello Dhaaarlings
Princess is quite exhausted... but can see some light at the end of the tunnel
Dress rehearsals are in full swing and here's a sneak peak!
I'm off to finish some Cyclones and sew a few tails onto some Flying Monkeys
Thanks Wally... It has been a tough gig but I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. The sense of seeing my ideas coming to life and moving on stage bought tears to my eyes... I feel; very tired and emotional but it is all good!
*pumping up ... cough* NEEDLES and PIINNNS ... much too early for wishes, so Hals- und Beinbruch as they say! Only one week left or so if I remember it right?
I am very tired Maddie. I'm looking forward to having a very long sleep in a wwe or so's time and then some time out by the sea side. I have a cousin with a beach house that has offered it to me free of charge for a little R and R.... some how I think I'll be needing it!
Thanks Roses, "Knackered" is the perfect descriptor! I must say that i do have a sense of pride seeing the costumes come to life and the gratitude and excitement that the kids display once they get to try them on. It is and has been very rewarding for me.
Hello Mr Swings. I must say that the whole process has felt like an event of Olympic proportions... What is this Gold of which you speak?... I'm an Ozzie. Silver seems to be our favourite metal this year so i'd settle for a silver medal and still be blissfully happy!
Princess, those are GREAT! You're really creative! I'm hard pressed to dig the Singer out to hem curtains; that's what Stitch Witchery is for, right? No? I hope you get a standing ovation from those parents. You deserve it.
Thanks Ms Nations... I'm already getting lots of thankyou's from parents and kids alike! I'm with you on the curtains thing. Hate them!but always seem to score the ob of doing the curtains for the sets.
The local tV chanel came to rehearsals today so there should be some footage of the costumes on the local news tonight. Interviews with the print media and more TV early next week!
Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou have to be totally phaffed out, but I'm sure your sense of satisfaction keeps you flying high...

Awesome! The costumes look great! If making costumes were an Olympic sport, you'd win gold!
