Like Eveyone Else.... I've Been a Busy Little Beaver...

Hello Dhaaarlings...

I've been a tad preoccupied with Bustlines... Foundations... Shoulderstraps... Pleating and Hemlines of late...

No... not on the red carpet oscar bunfight.... but...
With 5 bridesmaid gowns...

Final Fittings are this week...I'll hope to have more photo's with people in them by the end of the week... The gowns look little rough just hanging on the doors... not showing them off to their best advantage...

just bear with me for a few more days...

I'm slowly starting to see the end of weeks/ months of endeavour...
and feeling quite good about the reslults...

The bride has also placed an order for 3 ties for the groomsmen to be made from the leftover green fabric... to match with the gowns of the 3 senior bridesmaids... And I've been invited to come along to the wedding to take a few photos on the day!

So I'd best be getting back to it...

In the meantime here's a little arse to keep you occupied whilst waiting....

"No Luck Again" a story in which the Pizza Man Almost Delivers....

Hello Dhaaarlings...

For a number of years now I've been a regular at a local pizza shop near home... They do a great pizza and they are always reasonably priced and are very generous with their ingredients and genuine friendly service...

When I say regular... I mean maybe once every month or second month I'll go there order a Pizza and take it home... I never have the Pizza delivered as the place is within walking distance from the palais and often on my way home if I'm out shopping for the day and want a quick and easy meal I'll call in and order... Plus... I figure... Why fork out the extra cash for delivery?

Anyway...

When you place your order they issue you with a numbered printout docket. On my first visit the docket Number was "No 70" and... as the owner handed it to me he said "Yours will be number 70"

I replied... sounding dejected "Oh... I'm too late... I just missed out"...

He gave me a strange look saying "What do you mean?"...

"I was hoping for 69" I said as I waved the docket at him grinning...

"It's my favourite number"

He looked at me as a big grin spread across his face as he realised the connotation of what i'd just said...

"Well it looks like you're out of luck tonight mate... It's my favourite number too... but I just haven't been able to convince the wife that it is her's too.... yet!"

We both laughed, and the banter continued back and forth until my order was ready... As I left he added... "and good luck on your quest for 69"

From that time on it has become standard banter...

Now, every time I make an order and before I get the ticket he takes a good long look at it... as a big grin crosses his face... then announces...

"Sorry Prinny... but you're number 43 tonight".... 65... 70... 72 or what ever the number is as he laughs out aloud adding "no luck again".

My response is usually...

"Still no luck with the Missus then?"

It has been going on for the past few years now...

Until last night....

As I ordered my "Usual"... the house special with hot salami, extra anchovies, olives and jalopeno peppers...

The owner went into his "usual" thing of checking out the number... and as he did...

He suddenly turned to me with a look of what I deemed to be shock... on his face...

Then he burst out laughing saying....
