But Wait!.... There's More....

Hello Dhaaarlings...

The show's over for another year and the accolades just kept coming...
I have been truly overwhelmed with the response to my costuming feats from the general public that attended the shows along with the pride that the kids have shown in wearing them...

Last night the show went off without a hitch and the kids had a lot more confidence the second tome around... you gotta remember that some of them have never been on stage before let alone taken on a lead role in any form of entertainment.
They all performed like they had been hoofing the boards for years!
I'm so very proud of the little darlings despite the "hissy-fits" and "dramas" along the way... that seem to accompany adolescents everywhere...

Here are some more pictures from the show....

  3. I can't see what it says but you should put that neon hotel sign with the arrow over your bed.

  4. It's a brilliant feeling to be involved with something like that.
I would now like a long pair of bloomers?
So what's next in the pipeline?

    1. Dear Miss Scarlet... you would not be alone in your request for bloomers?.... the kids all found them to be quite comfortable one even kept a pair... (Saved me having to make a pair for her!)
As for the next thing in the pipeline... Same again in July with the youth theatre company (but the full production this time around) that did OZ this year... Followed by beauty and the beast in December with this school again...

    1. I think that I'm suffering from post production blues, Jon... But it's quite Ok.... I have some battle of Hastings costumes and a party of 5 bridesmaid gowns to work on in the meantime....

  8. Dearest Mitzi, I wish that i'd heard this before the show.... I could have perfomed it as a filler between some of the longer set changes... I'll keep it in mind for the reprise of the same show in July with the other company....

The costumes look amazing! You've done them proud again!

And what a lovely gift for you, I'm glad they've shown their appreciation for you.

    1. Thanks Roses,
It is really rewarding to see the kids develop and gain self confidence as rehersals progress and they start to "hit their mark" and really embrace their characters the sooner I have them involved with developing their costumes and getting at least part of them made to wear at rehersals. Its lovely to be a part of...

Asfar as the back goes... there is not a lot to tell other than the pain is gradually increasing and i'm noticing that my geneal range of movement is becoming more restricted as time drags on. Off to the GP today to look at options and hopefully stronger pain relief!
