It's a Herbal Thing...

I just love the fragrance and taste of fresh Chives...
So this year I have grown my own...

They have the most stunning flowers too...

Beautiful mauve purple blooms...

Like tiny starbursts...

I think they are just adorable...
So adorable in fact... I plan on chopping some up and sprinkling them over some baked potatoes with lashings of butter and sour cream...
Mmmmm.....

Yes they are good at keeping the bugs at bay and I've found them pretty easy to grow. I have some Garlic Chives growing as well but I haven't spotted flowers on them yet... No doub't if they do you will see them appearing here...

Ps I got the drift the first time ....More coffee Darling?

    Dear MJ
You do say the nicest things...

Although... I haven't had the pleasure of both sodomy and the lash whilst consuming a good feed of spuds and chives....
Well... not since the last time anyway....

Why yes of course Miss Scarlet
My dear old friend "Edith" would swear that one must have lashings of everything...

    even butter...

    Dear Mago

So Do Me? Is that a Franconian pick up line? If not... It is a very good one. I hope you don't mind but I'll add it to my list of "things to say when meeting new friends"...Oh... I See... You are a chive grower too?

    Dear XL

I have enough Bathtubs here to hold a regatta. It's sort of like a navy...

  6. Beautiful! I never knew chives could produce such pretty flowers.

I'd like to plant a little herb garden, but the apt doesn't have the space for it...all concrete with a few patches of green around the trees. Then of course, I'm the grim reaper of plants...Although, I did find an onion blossoming in the my fridge once! Sadly, it did not survive the transplanting outdoors.
