Take Some Time to Smell the Roses...

Oh... I see you are early...

I'm afraid that you have caught me still getting prepared...

Might I interest you in partaking some refreshments whilst I get dressed ...

Houseboy... drinks for our guests please.

Ahh...Now that's better
Thankyou for your patience...

Welcome to my tour of  "The Rose Garden" at "Palais de Steff"

Of all the flowers in my gardens...

I believe that nothing surpasses my love of the Rose

Now, could you all please gather around, and we shall proceed...

And please remember to follow the Parasol

Princess has been inspired by a recent visit to

And has taken the liberty...
of arranging for you to see some of my own favourite specimens
in the "Palais Gardens"

I do hope that they will be a visual treat for your eyes.....

One of my favourite roses is called "Double Delight"

Please... feel free to take a closer look
It is

A beautiful fragrant bloom with a cream and pale pink centre that....
as it opens becomes a showy lemon and deep pink...

Just divine

Oh..Look! There's another double delight...

This is "Just Joey"

A lovely perfumed rose with large well structured apricot flowers...

that hold their shape as a cut flower....

Oh... and that's just Joey...

 one of my Gardening Boys.

He loves to strike a pose for my guests....

This is my "Black Boy" Climbing Rose...

It is a favourite of Mothers...

And every time she passes...
just has to have a quick snort of it's musky and arousing scent..

And my beautiful "Blue Moon" Climbing Rose...

Not a strong perfumed rose, but, it does have....

 lovely large lavender Blooms...

An under-planting of double mauve petunias

Can anybody spot the lonely little pansy in the petunia patch?

Oh yes.. There he is...

Well done everyone!

This is "Princess' Rose Bowl" with a selection of my favourites
freshly picked from my garden

I do hope that you have enjoyed the tour...

Please feel free to ramble...

While I get my lazy Houseboys...

to prepare some gifts...

And refreshments...

Don't you just love a beautiful Rose Dhaaaarling..

I know I do.

  1. Lovely garden. I'm very partial to roses. And they have to be scented. Must.

I love burying my nose into their depths. They smell so good, makes my toes curl.

Mmmmmm.....I think I'd better lie down, I've gone dizzy with the thought of availing myself of the delights of your garden.

  3. I love roses (and adore Roses) but right at this very moment I'm really feeling the pansy is speaking to me. What's that?

    Yes, I'm on my way!

  12. Careful! Those are some serious pricks in those roses!

The roses are lovely. I like flowers, esp the sweet smelling kind. My favorite is the gardenia--sweet smelling and beautiful white petals.

Smelling sweet roses sometimes make me crave a rose apple (aka mountain apple).
